About

A specialist, on purpose.

Ted Byrer spent decades in traditional wealth management. He built this practice around the work he still wants to do: guaranteed income, protection, and a clean handoff — without a product shelf he does not control.

Ted has been working with individuals and businesses in the greater Indianapolis area for more than 28 years. The through-line is not a ticker. It is whether a household can fund the life it already chose — and whether a death, a disability, or a long care event is allowed to undo that.

He is no longer securities licensed. That is a specialization, not a footnote. Byrer Wealth Management, LLC is an independent insurance practice — fixed indexed annuities, fixed life, long-term care, disability, accident, and property & casualty. Not tied to any single carrier. The recommendation is allowed to come from more than one manufacturer. The conversation is allowed to start with your bills instead of a model portfolio.

Clients still get a person. Not a call center, not a rotating “wealth team,” not a contest week. If the right answer is that you already have enough coverage, that is the answer.

Why work with Byrer Wealth Management, LLC

As a dedicated fixed annuity and insurance specialist — not tied to a single carrier — Byrer Wealth Management, LLC is built to help you cut through product complexity and identify the strategy that actually fits your income needs, time horizon, and legacy goals. If protecting a portion of your portfolio from market risk and sequence-of-returns risk is part of your plan, let’s talk.

Independent

No house product. Contracts are compared for the job they have to do — rate, rider, surrender schedule, and the insurer behind the promise.

Insurance only

Fixed indexed annuities, fixed life, long-term care, disability, accident, and property & casualty. No stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or variable contracts.

How a first conversation goes

Bring the questions, not a binder — unless you want to. Ted will want to know what the money has to do: the floor of expenses, who depends on you, whether a business or land has to stay in the family, and what a care event would do to a spouse. If insurance is not the lever, he will say so. If it is, you will leave with a next step that is specific.
